Welcome to Graybird Foundation
Bold moves are at the heart of Silicon Valley—it is a place of innovators, dreamers, and doers. But Silicon Valley is not just where technology begins; it’s also home to millions of people, many of whom are either working to better our society or simply struggling to survive.
At Graybird we feel fortunate to have been part of marketing the technology that has helped so many people, products and companies emerge as leaders. Our foundation is an opportunity to give back to the community we live in and love.
How? By working with a small team of experts, our foundation gives nonprofits that serve education, fine arts and our community access to marketing, branding and communications projects that their budgets simply don’t allow.
Whether you are a marketing professional, an aspiring non-profit organization, or a donor looking to make a difference, we need you. Let’s help our entire community soar.
We hope you will join us on this mission.
What We Do
Who We Serve
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Graybird is motivated to serve local nonprofits that benefit our communities.
Graybird Foundation was approached by LifeMoves, the largest homeless services provider across San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, to develop, plan and execute its complete rebranding project that spanned from December 2014 to February 2016.
“We can learn to see each other and see ourselves in each other and recognize that human beings are more alike than we are unalike.”
– Maya Angelou, American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist.
At Graybird, we care deeply about higher education and eagerly support nonprofits that improve college access and graduation rates among underserved students.
We look for community-based nonprofits that help families understand the value of four-year college degrees, and that provide support for students to discover their strengths, excel academically and contribute to their communities. In addition to its core expertise in brand identity and marketing, Graybird provides support in college admission curriculum and advising for organizations focused on college access and completion. We are working with Foundation for College Education to expand their programs for underserved middle- and high-school students.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
– Nelson Mandela, South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist.
Graybird is passionate about supporting environmental nonprofits that educate us on the vulnerability of our human population to climate change.
Environmentalists are helping us understand that if we act now, we can significantly slow that impact. Graybird recognizes the importance of answering this call, which is why we are aligned with environmental nonprofits like Idaho Conservation League, an organization committed to finding climate solutions that are just, equitable, and protective of the people, places, and wildlife throughout Idaho.
“I have learned that you are never too small to make a difference.”
– Greta Thunberg, Swedish climate and environmental activist
Graybird Foundation selects developing artists and creative nonprofits in the Bay Area to promote their bodies of work.
Graybird has teamed with the filmmakers of the Surviving Skokie documentary to fund the film’s completion and run its marketing. During the 2015 – 2016 season, Surviving Skokie was accepted as an official selection to screen at a dozen film festivals across the U.S. and in Australia. It was an honor to help position Surviving Skokie to win awards at the 2015 Mill Valley and the 2016 Los Angeles Jewish Film Festivals.
“Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together.”
– John Ruskin, the leading English art critic of the Victorian era.
What People Are Saying
